Inspection Report

After the inspections at the beginning and the end of the tenancy, you must immediately give tenants a written report of the inspection. The inspection report done at the beginning is often called the move-in report, and the one at the end is often called the move-out report. The report will describe the condition of the property. Written reports can also be completed after any extra inspections that you and the tenant agree to, but these are not required by law.

Certain statements must be included in the report to account for what took place at the inspection.

Your local Landlord and Tenant Advisory Board and local landlord associations usually have standard inspection forms available.
