Both you and the tenant are bound by both the terms of the lease and the law. If either of you breaks any terms of the lease, the law provides remedies that can be used to enforce the lease or end it.

Know how you are expected to act under the lease and the law, and what you should be able to expect from the tenant. You both have obligations and rights during the tenancy. Issues that may arise include rent, entering the premises, and safety and security.
